Here are some cards that PVCS students created for victims of Typhoon Morakot during August 2009. The Southern California Council for Chinese Schools has organized this event wherein the cards will be collected and mailed to students in Southern Taiwan that were impacted by Morakot. |

PVCS students Elissa Ku and Aaron Baugh have been awarded the $500 99 Ranch Market Special Talent Award Scholarship and the $300 赞化书院 Scholarship, respectively. They will be recognized this coming Sunday at the Southern California Conference of Chinese Schools Annual Banquet and be presented with an award of $500. Congratulations! 本校学生顧鶴翎同学荣获99大华超市特殊才能优秀学生奖学金，鲍国键同学荣获赞化书院奖学金，将于下周日南加州中文学校联合会晚宴中接受表扬。恭喜两位同学！ |

Chinese kung-fu classes will begin starting next Saturday (Sept. 26) morning at 8:00 am. If you are interested please wear appropriate attire and arrive early! Next week's lesson will be free; starting Oct. 3, tuition will be $10/month. 中国功夫班将于下周六（9月26日）早上八点开始上课，请穿着合适的运动服，早一点到。欢迎勇跃参加！从十月分开始，学费定为每月$10。 |

This is just a quick reminder that the PVCS school year starts tomorrow, Aug. 29 2009. We would like to invite all parents to stay for the 10:00 am general assembly, as well as the parent teacher conference beginning around 11:30 am. 提醒大家，普慕纳中文学校明天开学（8月29日）。希望各位家长参加十点锺的开学典礼以及十一点半的老师家长座谈。 |
